Ericsson announces UK Supreme Court appeal of interim license decision favoring Lenovo

Ericsson will appeal to the UK Supreme Court the England & Wales Court of Appeal's decision to grant Lenovo an interim license. Ericsson has said so in a filing with the U.S. International Trade Commission.

The filing with the ITC primarily focuses on how irrelevant to the U.S. trade agency any of the UK developments are, but it also mentions certain flaws in the decision. One striking example is that the EWCA dismissed Ericsson's uncontroverted evidence that it cannot recognize interim payments as revenue, casually saying that generally accepted accounting principles are not legal documents.
